Note: In Greek mythology the Danaïdes were the 50 daughters of Danaus, the King of Libya. They were married off to the 50 sons of some other guy. All but 1 of the daughters killed their new husband on the wedding night. The punishment was being forced to carry a water jug to fill a tub that had never ending leaks or holes to ceremoniously wash away their sins as they forever tried to fill the tub.
