Note: This box is known in at least four different heights of approximately 3.5 cm, 3 cm, 2.2 cm (2 ozs.), and 1.6 cm (1 and 1/2 oz.). All are the same 7.5 cm diameter. We show all the various heights on this page. There are comparison photos for two of the sizes in the June 2019 listing below. And the January 2020 listing shows a box with all the original contents and packaging.

Also Note: This box was originally designed as part of the packaging for Roger Et Gallet's Le Jade products. However it was never used for that purpose and instead was used to market various Roger Et Gallet scented powders. The name of the box is the same name as one of those scented powders. Compare its design to the one found on the Le Jade Perfume Bottle that came 4 years after this box.

Also Note: There is a post-war nearly exact copy of this box that came with literature stating it was a reproduction. However we don't know who made it and we don't know if it involved the modern Lalique company. So we put it on the copies and close calls page linked below. There are two quick ways to know if it's a modern copy. First, the copy has an R. LALIQUE signature on the underside as shown in the photos on the copies and close calls page. The original does not. Second, the modern repro lacks the small LALIQUE signature on the upward facing edge of the top that is present on the original box and visible in the auction photos shown below.
