Rene Lalique Fouad Box information and photos at RLalique.com are tied together on this main Fouad Boxes page. Past and future auctions, historical details, sales, copies, reproductions, articles and more are all accessible from here. This page grows as more info is added to the website. Note: In 1924 Lalique created two similar boxes. This box has Egyptian themed sides on the bottom and a lid that has a thin decoration around the edge and a central likeness of the Egyptian King Fouad I. The similar box is Khedive. Khedive has the Egyptian themed bottom and the same top, but with an undecorated center. Khedive was the title of the viceroys (representatives) that ruled Egypt for Turkey before Egypt became an independent country after World War I. See The Entire Catalogue Of: Rene Lalique Boxes
