Note: Yvelines is a French Department in the Île-de-France region. Yvelines has a population of over 1,400,000 (2016) and it includes the Palace of Versailles, the former de facto French capital and a pretty amazing place. Yvelines/Versailles are around 30/40 minutes from Paris just about any way you go.

Also Note: When the Palace of Versaiiles was the royal residence it was home to many exotic animals brought in from places far and wide. And there were of course plenty of deer in the surrounding forest.

Also Note: Between August 27th and September 3rd in 1926 Lalique created two similar vases. Both vases have decorated ears on either side along the rim. Both vases are the same size and nearly the same shape but each with a different decoration. On both vases the decoration continues from the ears to the body of the vase. The first vase was the vase Chamarande. A week later came this Yvelines.
