Note: Trois papillons is French for three butterflies. There are 3 versions of this inkwell. This is the typical version. The 2nd version Trois Papillons-2 has thin ribbed decorated wings and a thin-ribbed dome cover. The 3rd version Trois Papillons-3 has thin-ribbed wings but the same cover as this model. We use the original introduction circa date for all three versions because we don't know when each one was introduced.
