Note: Trois papillons is French for three butterflies. There are 3 versions of this inkwell. The typical version is Trois Papillons. This 2nd version that you see here has thin ribbed decorated wings and a thin-ribbed dome cover. The 3rd version Trois Papillons-3 has thin-ribbed wings but the same cover as the typical Trois Papillons model. We use the original introduction circa date for all three versions because we don't know when each one was introduced.
