Also Note: This bottle was originally designed by André Jollivet in 1924 and made elsewhere. More refined mistletoe decorated dome shaped covers were designed and manufactured by Lalique starting in 1926 and they were fitted to both this black Jollivet container and the clear Jollivet container mentioned below. So all containers are Jollivet, Lalique just replaced the covers going forward. All the black containers had gilded covers. None of these bottles are authentically signed on the flat bottom or anywhere else for Rene Lalique. There is a clear glass version of this bottle that does not have Sous Le Gui and Jean De Parys molded on the front like these black glass versions. The clear bottles were used for several different Jean De Parys fragrances and so were sold with identifying labels and without any molded identification. Covers for the clear bottles can be either patinated or gilded. There is also a much larger similar black glass bottomless large store display advertising bottle that was designed and produced by Rene Lalique and used to promote this fragrance.
