Note: This model is a combination of the stopper from the Sirenes Avec Bouchon Figurine Vase and the quatre masques bakelite base used for the 4 Veilleuses (small table lamps) Graines D'Asperges Model 2553, Amours Model 2554, Pommier Du Japon Model 2555, and Hirondelles Model 2556. Except for the Hirondelles Veilleuse (1919), the other 3 veilleuses and all 3 glass inserts (Naiade, Sirene Stopper, Sirene Mascotte) are from 1920. There is no doubt Lalique was just creatively putting leftover bakelite bases to good use.

Also Note: This same base has also appeared mounted with a Naiade Car Mascot as a Naiade On Masques Base Statue and with a Sirene Car Mascot as a Sirene Mascotte on Masques Base Statue.

Also Note: Typically when the base was used for a small lamp, the mouth of one masque would be drilled out with a small hole for the electric cord. This model has appeared on bases with and without that hole.
