Note: Saint-Denis is the name of a city in the northern suburbs of Paris about 6 miles from the city center. The city was named Saint-Denis, after a patron saint of France. It's the location of the Basilica of Saint-Denis where most every French King is buried. It also is the location of France's national football and rugby stadium, the Stade de France that was constructed in 1998. The city has a population of over 100,000 (2018). The people who live there are called Dionysiens.

Also Note: The bowl is known in 1 height of approximately 17.5 cm by approximately 20 cm wide.

Also Note: In early January 1926 Lalique created 2 footed bowls. The form of the 2 bowls is Coupe sur pied or bowl on foot. Think of them as large champagne glasses or large coupes à champagne. In addition to this bowl, the 2nd one was the approximately 22 cm tall Clairvaux Bowl.

Also Note: After the death of Rene Lalique, and sometime after 1955, Cristal Lalique introduced Model No. 12259 Vase Saint-Denis. The stem design is close to this model R. Lalique Bowl, but the top is narrower and taller, making the modern crystal vase over 24 cm tall compared to the roughly 17.5 cm for this wider topped original bowl. We have it in the modern repro section even though it is not an exact reproduction.
