Also Note: We speculate this box was created specifically for the chocolatier Marquise De Sévigné as a bonbonnière (candy box). We have never seen it with a glass bottom. The only surely original bottoms we've seen are silk-lined bottoms with metal feet marked for Marquise De Sévigné to the underside. Also contributing to our speculation is that this box did not appear in the 1932 Catalogue. See the September 2020 listing below for good photos of an original silk-lined bottom.
