Note: This bottle is sometimes called Starfish or Étoile de mer (the French phrase for Starfish). It was made for the scents Parfum A, Parfum B, and Parfum C. And it has also been seen labeled for the scent Gardenia as explained below.

Also Note: The bottle is known in 2 heights of approximately 11 cm and 7 cm.

Also Note: The smaller size bottle (it held only 1 ounce of perfume), was created in early 1931 as the industry adapted to the ongoing Great Depression.

Also Note: Lelong later had a very similar design to this bottle made by another glass company for the scent Gardenia, and later Marguerite and likely others. That similar non-rlalique bottle does not have the molded R. Lalique signature. And it does have a flat undecorated panel on the side of the bottle for the placement of a label. That flat spot does not exist on the R. Lalique bottle.

Finally: This authentic bottle has been seen labeled for the fragrance Gardenia. That can make things a little confusing because the later close-copy was made for the scent Gardenia. Just keep the differences in mind as follows: On this authentic original bottle if there is a label it's around the neck. On the close-copy there is a flat panel on the side of the bottle built into the design for placing the label as shown at the close-copy lnk below. There is no such flat panel on the authentic bottle. Also the authentic bottle has a molded R. Lalique signature to the underside as shown in the Dcember 2021 listing below, where you can also see that Gardenia label around the neck.
