Also Note: The bottle was designed by Rene Lalique but produced by some other glassmaker and is not signed for Lalique. It typically has the molded words MADE IN FRANCE and BOTTLE molded to the underside. It was created to hold bath oil and eau de toilette.

Also Note: This design bottle has been seen without the molded vertical JAYTHO name on the side of the bottle and again also never signed for Lalique. The reported lower quality of these no-JAYTHO marked bottles leads us to speculate that Jay Thorpe had them made by a different "other glassmaker" than the one that made these original bottles that carry the JAYTHO mark.

Also Note: Linked here is a brilliant re-use of a damaged one of these perfume bottles cut-down to about 1/2 the original height for use as a 6.4 cm tall by 5.1 cm wide Jaytho Shot Glass. The auction seller left out the important details of course, but had 3 great statements we've copied and pasted directly from the description: "Hard to find", "No any chips, scratches, or cracks", and "Bid with confidence". The idea being so brilliant, we can only observe there's a "glass half full" in this story.
