Note: In Lalique's time, Languedoc was a province in south-central France with its capital in Toulouse. The area of the province contained both cactus and palm trees. The decoration on this fixture is palm fronds. See the cactus motif Languedoc Vase page for more details about the former province and other French uses of the Languedoc name.

Also Note: There are 2 sizes of Languedoc Chandeliers. The smaller one has 4 elements, the larger has 8 elements. The respective diameters are appromimately 35 cm and 45(?) cm. When a larger example appears, it will be catalogued on this page together with the smaller examples.

Also Note: Single decorative panels from this fixture were also marketed as Langudeoc Sconces with a height of approximately 31 cm.
