Note: There is a small town named Faverolles about an hour drive northeast of Paris. Its population (2017) is under 1000. In the 1860's a breed of chicken was created in the area that was named after the town. Because the name of the chicken is the name of the town, both single and multiple chickens of this breed are called Faverolles.
