Note: There is a small town named Faverolles about an hour drive northeast of Paris. Its population (2017) is under 1000. In the 1860's a breed of chicken was created in the area that was named after the town. Because the name of the chicken is the name of the town, both single and multiple chickens of this breed are called Faverolles.

Also Note: This decanter is known in 1 height of approximately 22.5 cm.

Also Note: There are only 3 Faverolles items: this decanter, a single size glass, and a round tray.

Also Note: This model is very similar to the Padoue Decanter. The difference is that for this model the stopper continues to widen towards the top, and the rooster feathers form a semi-circle. For the Padoue, the outside of the stopper is basically vertical at the top, and the rooster feathers stop with the ends in horizontal alignment instead of circling back down.

Also Note: In June 1930 Lalique created 3 very similar rooster motif decanters. In addition to this Faverolles model, there are also the models Padoue and Bantam. We have close-ups of the rooster design stopper for each model in the auction listings on the respective decanter model pages to make it easier to figure out which model you have.
