Note: Dornach was an independent town adjoining Mulhouse until the early 1900's when it became part of Mulhouse. Evidence of human habitation found in Dornach dates to the Neolithic Era (late stone age). Control of the town changed hands many times throughout history. By the end of the 30 years war in 1648 the population had dwindled to fewer than 25 people. Today Dornach retains much of its historical character with an old world village atmosphere.
