Rene Lalique Docteur Pierre Glass information and photos at RLalique.com are tied together on this main Docteur Pierre Glasses page. Past and future auctions, historical details, sales, copies, reproductions, articles and more are all accessible from here. This page grows as more info is added to the website. Note: In 1837 Doctor Pierre Mussot started a company in France that was at the forefront of industrializing personal hygiene products. It began with distilled mint alcohol, powders and toothpastes. The doctor died in 1860, the same year Rene Lalique was born. After the doctor's death, family members continued operations. Over the years the company advertised heavily and the brand was extremely well known in France. In 1923 Léo Fink, the founder of Forvil Parfums, purchased the company Les Héritiers du Docteur Pierre. He changed the company name to Société Anonyme les Dentifrices du Docteur Pierre. We have seen different reports on this including U.S. trademark applications and renewals for that company name that included Forvil. As for this R. Lalique glass, we have not seen documentation on the following point, but given the trademark, ownership status, and relationship, this glass would have to have been created for Léo Fink. There's more information on the perfumer page about Forvil.
