Rene Lalique Clocks |
R. Lalique Clocks: Clocks are also referred to by the French words Pendules or Pendulettes. Note: If you don't see your clock here, also look in Frames, Mirrors and Cire Perdue. Also Note: We've listed two different "Normandie Clocks" that regularly appear with claims of some Lalique involvement just so that interested collectors can find them here and read what we have to say about the lack of documentation to back up any claims that the clocks are somehow related to Rene Lalique. No seller of these clocks has ever been able to provide us with any documentation to back up what we regard as ridiculous claims that Rene Lalique was in any way involved with the clocks. Also Note: In recent years there have been many different clocks with ATO mechanisms in un-marked cases/surrounds offered as R. Lalique designs for which there is no documentation. Our strong advice as always is to stick with documented R. Lalique clocks with proper markings. If you don't see a clock on this page or in the clocks section of the Catalogue Raisonne, then you should not purchase that clock if your goal is to get a legitimate R. Lalique Clock. Of course the two exceptions are the "Normandie Clocks" shown here solely for the purpose of our recommending that they be avoided if you are looking for R. Lalique clocks. About 28 R. Lalique Clocks Are Shown Out Of Approximately 30 Production Clocks. The 2 missing models are the Six Grives Clock that is a square plaque form clock with small birds amongst bunches of grapes, and a 2nd Papillons Clock that is similar in shape to the Deux Colombes Clock you see below. Pics in 2011 Cat Res Pages 369 and 370. If you run across either of these missing clocks, please let us know so we can get them documented and spread the word.
