Also Note: There are 2 versions of this bottle for the Coty fragrance Styx, and this 3rd Carnette Guepes version for Maison Lalique. In the early Styx version, the entire top, wasps and all, is one big stopper. The pistil sticking up in the middle of that stopper has a short stem and if removed (to use as a dauber for the perfume), the bottle is still closed because the stopper is still in place. This pistil has what we'll call the "bunch of grapes" design at the top and it's fitted in a shallow divot in the middle of the stopper. Many of these are found glued in place to keep from losing them. In the 2nd Styx version, the wasps are part of the bottle. And the pistil, now with a different design on the top that does not resemble a bunch of grapes, is the stopper. There is a hole in the center of the top of the bottle that the longer stem of this pistil/stopper goes into to seal the bottle. The 2nd version is about 12.5 cm tall. This Carnette Guepes version looks very much like the early Styx bottle, being the same size and having a similar bunch of grapes pistil. But it functions like the 2nd Styx bottle because the pistil is the stopper.
