Note: Bourgueil is a small commune in the Loire Valley about a 3-hour drive southwest from Paris or about 150 crow flies miles. The population is around 4000 (2017). Bourgueil is also the name of the cabernet-based wine made in the surrounding area. Like so many of the small rural places in France, Bourgueil has its share of great old buildings and beautiful rural and agricultural stretches. The linked images will give you a good feel for the place.

Also Note: Bourgueil Plates and Vouvray Plates appear to be identical with one difference. With Bourgueil, in the decorative band of triangle shapes the upward pointing triangles are frosted solid. With Vouvray neither upward nor downward pointing triangles are filled with frosting, they are all clear inside. So Vouvray is basically just a zig-zagging line.
