Also Note: We don't know of any documentation that would make these bookends with clear glass bases pre-war. The first appearance we know of for these is the 1955 Cristal Lalique Catalogue. Because the Tete D'Aigle mascot is known to have been produced in crystal after the war with an old mold still bearing the molded R. Lalique signature on the lower neck (and then signed Lalique France to the underside), it's likely some of these clear based examples have mascots in them with that pre-war signature. But that doesn't make them pre-war. We've included these here so anyone looking can find them and read this statement.
