Rene Lalique Souris Plate information and photos at RLalique.com are tied together on this main Souris Plates page. Past and future auctions, historical details, sales, copies, reproductions, articles and more are all accessible from here. This page grows as more info is added to the website. Note: Souris is French for both mouse and mice.
Also Note: In the first year of the roaring 20's, Rene Lalique created a series of 11 large plates. Each plate is clear glass with an enameled design, and all are approximately 37 cm diameter. The model numbers run from 700 to 709 with 1 plate lacking a model number, but with model 700 (Trois Figurines) having 3 versions (so really 13 different plates). In 1925 he created 1 more plate without a model number in a style similar to the first 13, but the only example we've seen of that 14th plate is a bit smaller at 32.5 cm. The 10 plates with model numbers are: Trois Figurines, Deux Pigeons, Pommier, Souris, Pivoines, Dahlias, Artichauts, Scarabées, Oeillets-2, and Graines D'Asperges. The other 2 are the Eglantines-2 and the 1925 Deux Paons.
