Rene Lalique Serpent Ashtray information and photos at RLalique.com are tied together on this main Serpent Ashtrays page. Past and future auctions, historical details, sales, copies, reproductions, articles and more are all accessible from here. This page grows as more info is added to the website.

Note: Serpent is French for snake.

Also Note: In 1920 Lalique created two ashtrays that are identical except for the small decorative center plaque that sits on a hollow flat topped elevated center. Both ashtrays are made of thickly molded glass with high sides. All the glass except the plaque on each ashtray also has encircling thin low relief lines. The nearly matching model is Deux Sirènes.
