Rene Lalique Scarabes Poivriere information and photos at RLalique.com are tied together on this main Scarabes Poivrieres page. Past and future auctions, historical details, sales, copies, reproductions, articles and more are all accessible from here. This page grows as more info is added to the website.

Note: Scarabés is French for scarabs.

Also Note: We chose the circa year of 1923 because that was the same year Lalique was working with bakelite for boxes, and also because the similar shaped glass commercial model Feuilles Poivrière appeared the following year in 1924.

Also Note: The auction house states this has a provenance of the direct family of René Lalique. We know of no independent evidence of authenticity for this pepper mill or for the Poissons Pepper Mill that was sold at the same auction.
