Note: Saint-Vincent-de-Paul died in the mid-1600's. He founded the Congregation of the Mission to preach missions to the lower classes and for educating and training more clergy. He also founded the Confraternities of Charity that were associations of laywomen that looked after poor and sick people, and he co-founded another similar organization. He is the patron saint of charitable societies. The well known namesake Catholic Charity The Society of St. Vincent de Paul dedicated in service to the poor was founded in 1833 and continues his good work to this day.

Also Note: There is only 1 hanging light fixture model of this design. It has 4 holes for hanging cords and is approximately 34.5 cm wide. Any example with a different number of cords than 4 or the holes in the bowl for the hanging hardware not in the proper places is a conversion of a bowl and not an original light fixture.

Also Note: There is also a 34.5 cm wide Bowl, a Lamp that uses this same design upside down as a shade, and both 34.5 cm wide Wall Sconces and 24.5 cm wide Corner Sconces.
