Note: Riquewihr (having a slight spelling difference compared to the model name) is a village about a 5-hour drive or around 230 crow flies miles east-southeast of Paris with a population of around 1000 (2017). It's close to the German border and also towns like Ribeauvillé (2 miles), Colmar (7 miles), and Strasbourg (35 miles). Having survived amazingly well in this highly contested area, the village is almost a picture right out of the 1500's. The place has an abundance of landmarks and structures that date from the 1200's to the 1700's and is famous for it's Riesling wines. See some great photos on this local tourism site.

Also Note: There is also a Ricquewihr Vase with a comporting but not identical decoration and a similarly situated Ricquewihr Wooden Tray.

Also Note: In 1934 and 1935 Lalique created two identical form and size candleholders, each with matching bobeches. The only difference in the 2 models is the decoration. The first was this grapes-on-vines decorated version. It was followed in 1935 by the birds decorated Dampierre Candleholder.
