Rene Lalique Vase Pinsons: 7 and 3/8 inches tall by 9 and 1/8 inches wide at the top rim birds in fruiting foliage decorated topaz glass R. Lalique Vase. Lot No. 58. Model: 1038 Circa 1930. There are a total of 21 lots titled for René Lalique, however some of those lots are not pre-war R. Lalique items and those lots should be avoided. The non-R. Lalique lot numbers are at a minimum (we didn't go thru every lot): Lot 2 Camargue Vase and Lot 191 footed Moissac Vase, and there may be others so proceed with caution. For Lot 191 footed Moissac Vase, they cite an early edition of the catalogue raisonne for identifying this vase as R. Lalique. That was an error in the Cat Res. However that error was corrected in later editions of the Cat Res and the footed Moissac does not appear in the latest (2011) edition of the Cat Res. All footed Moissac Vases are post-war Marc Lalique creations no matter what the signature says. Any signature for R. Lalique on a footed Moissac is a forgery.
