Note: Orly is the name of a south Paris suburb about 8 miles from center of the city. The name of the town comes from a Latin word that means the villa of Aurelius. Orly is partially the location of the Orly Airport that was first opened for commercial use in 1932, having been originally created as a military airport in World War I. It's the largest airport in France for domestic traffic, and 2nd largest overall for total traffic. Over 33,000,000 passengers went through Orly in 2018.
