Note: This is the only physical example of this model that we know of having ever appeared publicly in the modern era. The stopper on this bottle does not match the documented stopper in the picture of this model on page 323 of the 2011 Catalogue Raisonne. Notwithstanding the incorrect shopper, the bottle made a hammer of £15,000 plus commissions of £3450 for an all-in total of £18,450 not including any VAT, or about $26,000 at current exchange rates.

Note: The stopper had significant condition issues. However the condition of the stopper was likely either nearly or totally irrelevant to the value as far as a serious buyer would be concerned. Once you have the wrong stopper, you basically don't have a stopper. So the condition of that wrong stopper is value-wise an extremely minor factor or no a factor at all.
