Note: Mont-Dore (Le Mont-Dore) is a small town of around 1300 people (2017) about a 5-hour drive south of Paris in south central France on the Dordogne River. The town is known for it's thermal springs in the summer (the Romans constructed baths there) and the skiing in the winter.

Also Note: The bowl is known in 1 width of approximately 21.8 cm.

Also Note: In November and December 1928 René Lalique created 4 different bowls from the same basic mold. They are all the same shape and form but with different designs to the underside. In addition to this bowl the other 3 are Vernon, Nonnettes, and Veronique. The bowls are all approximately 21.8 cm wide. This Mont-Dore is consistently reported at approximately 7.5 cm to 8 cm high. The other 3 bowls are all approximately 6 cm high. All 4 bowls have the meat of the design on the underside of the bowl and each bowl rests on the thickest elements of that design. Finally, all 4 bowls always appear in opalescent glass (until we hear different of course :).
