Note: There are 2 different versions of the stopper for this decanter and we show them both on this page. Both versions are the same shape, size, and structure. What we believe to be the earlier stopper version (because its decoration matches all the other pieces of Molsheim Tableware), has a small leaves on thin stems design molded into the flat surfaces of the stopper face. The stems and leaves are highlighted with enamel. The later stopper version has those flat surfaces undecorated. We speculate that because of either the cost of the hand work or the rejection rate coming out of the mold due to the small nature of the fine design, or both, that the stopper was changed to remove the stems and leaves.
