Note: Luxembourg is the same word in French and English. It refers to the tiny landlocked country bordered by Belgium, Germany, and France, or to its capital Luxembourg City. Luxembourg is less than 1000 square miles in size. That makes it smaller than the State of Rhode Island, the smallest of the United States. Notwithstanding the small size, Luxembourg is nowhere near the smallest country in Europe. It's literally over 1000 times larger than Monaco and over to 5000 times the size of Vatican City. The full name that obviously doesn't get much use is Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
