Also Note: The bottle has also been seen with the Galeries Lafayette fragrance Violette. It's the same bottle as Violette for Volnay (also used by Volnay for their fragrances Chypre and Maoni), and was almost certainly supplied (without attribution) to Les Galeries Lafayette by Volnay but labeled for the store and not for the perfumer. We show the circa date of the bottle as 1927. That is the first year of Volnay's use. We don't know exactly when it was supplied to Les Galeries Lafayette. It also has appeared labeled for the René Dorlys fragrance Mes Amours (apparently with the same stopper), and was likely supplied to them under similar circumstances. The bottle is an assemblage consisting of the base from the 1919 Maison Lalique Bouchon Eucalyptus Perfume Bottle Model No. 507, still bearing the early long-tail-L LALIQUE intaglio signature in the mold on the underside; and the stopper from the 1911 Maison Lalique Althea Perfume Bottle. Notice with both René Dorlys and Galeries Lafayette that each respective presentation has the identical label on the bottle and the box.
