Note: Le Baiser Du Faune is French for the kiss of the faun. Faun is a mythical figure represented as a man with a goat's horns, ears, legs, and tail.

Also Note: This bottle is known in 1 height of approximately 15 cm.

Also Note: According to the Utts, this model was made into the early 1950's with the R. Lalique signature on the front face of the bottle. See Utt Page 84, and re-confirmed in their 2001 addendum to the original book Page 43.

Also Note: We have seen Molinard ads from both 1948 and 1950 specifically advertising the R. Lalique signature on the face. See the Period Literature links at the bottom of the right hand column. We suspect but don't know for sure that some or all of the 1950's era bottles may have been made for Molinard by another glassmaker or glassmakers. The evidence is that many of the bottles are not signed for Cristal Lalique on the underside. Instead, many are signed only for Molinard on the underside such as etched block capital letters MOLINARD PARIS FRANCE. Others are signed Molinard Lalique France to the underside in script. Also bottles exist that have out-of-place unexpected random raised molded letters to the underside that are usually an indication or mark of another glassmaker.

Finally: The central design for this bottle was also made as a Le Baiser Pendant. See the 2011 Catalogue Raisonne Page 571. One of those pendants was in the collection of Marie Claude Lalique at the time of her death.
