Note: Grecque is French for Greek.

Also Note: In Greek mythology, the inventor Daedalus built the Labyrinth at Knossos for King Minos of Crete. Minos was a son of Zeus and Europa. The Labyrinth was a giant maze that was nearly impossible to escape. The purpose of the maze was to hold the Minotaur, a creature that was half-man and half-bull. On this bowl Lalique is depicting an interpretation of the Labyrinth and pointing you to that conclusion with the name of the bowl.

Also Note: This is the only Grecque Bowl. It's known in 1 size of approximately 28 cm.

Also Note: There is also 1 Grecque Plate that is not yet in the catalogue. The plate is known in 1 size of approximately 31 cm.

Also Note: The bowl and plate are the only 2 Grecque items.
