Note: Galéjade is French for tall story. A tall story is a big exaggeration or wildly imaginative tale. It's something difficult to believe and is the same as tall tale. It also can be in the context of being told or promised something that the teller knew was completely false. In the modern culture it's BS.

Also Note: The bottle is known in 2 approximate sizes of 4.2 to 4.5 cm, and 5.8 cm to 6 cm. The model was re-made from new molds in 1936. After 1935 the newly made bottle was used for the fragrances Trois Valses, Les Yeux Noirs, and Équivoque. Forvil did not introduce the last fragrance until 1945 at the earliest. The Utts say it was also used early on for the fragrances Narcisse and Les Anemones. And of course there may be others. If we think we know for sure because of a label or hang-tag that the bottle is a later bottle, such as the December 2nd, 2013 listing below, we use the 1936 date as the circa date for that bottle. We are slightly less sure about the May 5, 2020 bottle because it's a large bottle with the label made for the small bottle. Not something that you would expect to have seen done in 1922, but was reportedly done with leftover labels for the 1936 bottles.

Also Note: We are collecting information and photos on any Galéjade model bottles for comparison purposes to develop criteria to differentiate the later bottles from the earlier bottles.
