Note: Frise aigles is French for a band of eagles.

Also Note: The vase was originally designed and produced in 1911. Lalique exhibited a black glass example at the Salon des Artists Francais in Paris that year. The height was approximately 30 cm.

Also Note: The vase was made again in 1938 with the model number 10-925. This later version has a higher more substantial top rim section above the neck and so it can be approximately 1 to 1.5 cm taller than the original 1911 versions and reach a total height of up to 31.5 cm. Keep in mind that these are factory spec type heights and examples may vary from the specs.

Also Note: A clear glass version and a jade green glass version both thought to be early examples and both with similar extensive cameo enameled designs on the body have also appeared. The green version was in the collection of Marie Claude Lalique and is shown in the front white pages section of the Catalogue Raisonne on page 46, and also in the 1st (1977) version of the book Lalique Par Lalique on page 192. The clear version appeared at Bonhams in London June 12, 2012 and can be seen below.
