Rene Lalique Vase Epis Gravees: 21.5 cm wheat ears decorated undulating footed clear glass R. Lalique Vase. Lot No. 32 Est: €1200 - €1500. NOTE: The auction house is calling out a tiny chip on the rim edge. We don't know of any documentation for this vase. But see pages 470/471 of the 2011 Cat Res for a couple of similar size and shape vases that also have etched designs. And check the main Vases page in the catalogue here where you will see a couple of others. Model: 10-931bis Circa 1938. Also a Raisins Perfume Burner model 2603 as Lot 33, a 17 cm Beaulieu Vase model 960 as Lot 81, a Clos St Odile Bottle Holder as Lot 244, and Deux À Deux Box model 101 as Lot 283. They also have an Archers Vase as Lot 161 with what looks like low quality mold sharpness just judging from their photo. We usually advise typical collectors to be very careful when buying an Archers Vase because of the number of plausable fakes out there, most of which have poor mold quality. Of course, it also could be that they just took a bad picture. Finally they have a Pierrefonds Vase as Lot 91, but the signature might cause a raised eybrow or two especially knowing there are modern Cristal Lalique Pierrefonds Vase reproductions out there.
