There are also the vases Ajaccio, Vichy, Bacchus, Biches in green glass, and Ibis in this sale. All of the R. Lalique pieces in this auction are 1930's cross-over pieces that were made both before and after the war. They are all signed R. Lalique according to the auction house, but we get nervous when we see a bunch of these (and exclusively these) in the same auction, especially with a lot of patinas. In addition, the Vichy vase according to the auction house is signed "R. Lalique France", e Lalique Cristal France". This seems impossible for a pre-war piece unless the Lalique Cristal France was added after the war. So while we cannot draw absolute conclusions from the photos, we strongly recommend a personal inspection of the items before bidding.
