Rene Lalique Cyclamen Perfume Bottle information and photos at RLalique.com are tied together on this main Cyclamen Perfume Bottles page. Past and future auctions, historical details, sales, copies, reproductions, articles and more are all accessible from here. This page grows as more info is added to the website. Note: Cyclamen is a small perennial flowering plant native to Europe and much of the Mediterranean Basin. They are notable for their upswept flowers, and are the name of the fragrance for which this bottle was created.
Also Note: This bottle is known in 1 height of approximately 13.5 cm.
Also Note: These bottles have been seen with the molded signatures on the lower side of R. LALIQUE, LALIQUE, AND LALIQUE DEPOSE. This would be in addition to the molded COTY CYCLAMEN PARIS on the top of the stopper, and also the thickly molded COTY PARIS on the underside of the base of some examples. Etched block letter FRANCE has also been seen on the underside.
Also Note: There are three R. Lalique versions of the Cyclamen bottle. In addition to this original version, there are thin neck and plain stopper top (no molded lettering on top) versions.
Also Note: It has been reported that Coty copied this bottle in crystal after he opened his own crystalworks in the period around 1920/1921. The copies are said to be nearly identical to the originals. They are signed Cristal Coty engraved to the underside and have the block letter LALIQUE to the lower part of one of the panels. We have never seen a bottle with that Cristal Coty signature or handled a bottle with the weight that would suggest it's crystal and not glass. But we've never really been looking either. If/when we get our hands on such a bottle, we'll report further details. And if any reader has such a bottle, we'd like the chance to see good photos to document it.

NOTE: There are other different R. Lalique perfume bottles labeled Cyclamen! If you are looking for a Cyclamen labeled bottle that does not match this one, go to the catalogue's main Perfume Bottle page at the link above and find your bottle! It may have a different model name as many bottles were used for more than one fragrance. For bottles made for perfumeries (as opposed to Maison Lalique Bottles sold empty), typically but not always, we call the bottle by the first fragrance it was used for. Also different perfumeries sometimes used the same fragrance name.
