Also Note: This bottle is known in 2 heights of approximately 19.5 cm and 23.5 cm. It's possible there are other sizes as well.

Also Note: The bottle is unsigned. This is not atypical for bottles supplied by Rene Lalique for department store use. It did not appear in the literature as R. Lalique until it was entered into the catalogue raisonne in 2011. Even today some question whether or not this bottle is an R. Lalique bottle. The bottle below from June 2021 was described by the auction house as dans le goût (in the style) of René Lalique.

Also Note: At the December 6th, 2005 dispersal of the Marie Claude Lalique perfume bottle collection by Boisgirard in Paris, Lot 273 was a La Sirène Perfume Bottle. That bottle had an unknown (at the time) stopper that was not documented as belonging to the bottle. We've listed that bottle as a Maison Lalique La Sirène version. At the time it was thought Marie Claude likely replaced a broken or lost stopper with the one you see in the listing. We don't know if that's the case, or if that stopper is original to that bottle and that Lalique settled on a different one at the time (1912), or later for Burmann's use in the 1930's. But what we do know is that the Marie Claude stopper is the same stopper found on this bottle! Assuming the stopper was not original to her bottle and was a replacement, it's hard to imagine she replaced it with a non-R. Lalique stopper of any kind. Whichever is the case, the stopper on her bottle is further evidence of the authenticity of this bottle.
