Lot 117, was a nice looking thick rimmed cased opalescent R Lalique Alicante Vase with the engraved signature R.Lalique France No. 998. It sold for a premium inclusive total of $18,750 against a pre-sale estimate of $15,000 to $20,000. The other vase was the R Lalique Vase Epicea in green glass with the signature R.Lalique. The Lalique Epicea Vase is seldom seen in color (it&#8217;s also seldom seen in frosted), and this one made a premium inclusive total of $6250 against a pre-sale estimate of $5000 to $7000. Sothebys New York did a great job of estimating these vases accurately, and got good prices for both vases.
