Note: Requéte is French for request.

Also Note: This is the larger version of two similar Requête models designed by Marc Lalique. This version is known in heights of approximately 16 cm and 27.5 cm.

Also Note: The smaller version has a shorter neck, no stem between the round base and the container, and is known in 2 heights of approximately 7.7 cm and 9 cm.

Also Note: We have never personally seen either of these 2 larger sizes with a proper pre-war signature. But as explained below, Marie Claude Lalique had just such a bottle in her personal collection.

Also Note: This design was entered with a mold number in the company register of models in May 1944.

Also Note: The 2005-12-06 bottle shown below is the 27.5 cm bottle that was in the collection of Marie Claude Lalique. It was sold at the dispersal sale of her collection on that date. Felix Marcilhac was the Expert for that sale. The lot description says the bottle was signed R. LALIQUE. In that same sale was an example of the 16 cm bottle that was marked simply LALIQUE.
